Planning an Art & Design trip for your students? Need some inspiration on where to go and what to see? Let us give you some ideas.
Now most of you considering Art and Design themed trips are going to have New York in mind. And you'd be entirely justified! The Big Apple has some of the best art collections in the world, The Museum of Modern Art and the Guggenheim Museum spring to mind for a start, and you will find inspiration literally on every corner. We will quite happily help you organise a New York Art trip, but keep reading to find out why we think Washington, is also worth consideration.
Washington, is the national capital and home to some of the world's finest works of art. The city has a good number of museums and galleries that can easily rival those of New York. The Smithsonian American Art Museum for example has pieces from O'Keefe, Hopper and Homer, and the National Portrait Gallery houses the famous 'Landsdowne' portrait of George Washington.
Other great sights include the Washington Monument, Capitol Hill and the Smithsonian Museum.
