At Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre, we aim to deliver high quality, creative outdoor learning programmes to a wide range of user groups. Our centre is fully accessible providing a wide array of fully inclusive programmes.
We are able to offer both residential and single or multi day activity experiences to a wide range of ages and abilities, our team of fully qualified staff are dedicated to meeting your groups individual needs.
Why are Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre great for School Trips and Educational Visits?
Since opening in 2010 Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre has been able to deliver high quality wide ranging outdoor activities to thousands of children locally, nationally and internationally. With its bespoke building, 66 acre lake and dedicated activity and hospitality teams it is the perfect venue for your schools residential or day visit able to cater for groups of 40 on a residential basis or 150 for a day visit.
Upon booking we will work with your group leader to identify key learning outcomes in areas of skill, knowledge, experience and understanding. We will design a flexible programme with the specific needs of your group in mind. Our team of highly qualified outdoor instructors
will utilise the ‘Plan, Do, Review’ model of experiential learning to deliver a structured
outdoor learning experience exploring the extensive range of activities we have on offer.
Out on the lake as on land, we use the most up to date equipment and our friendly coaches are
fully qualified to teach nationally recognised programmes set out by the Royal Yachting
Association, British Canoeing, Archery GB and the National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme.
What activities are available during group visits?
The centre is able to offer a range of RYA, British Canoeing and National Indoor Climbing Scheme Accreditation's along with sailability for SEN schools.
What size groups do you cater for?
Residential up to 40, Day visits 150
Do you offer on-site classroom facilities?
The centre boasts 1 function room, boardroom, plus 5 classrooms onsite.
Is there first aid on site?
All activity staff are first aid certified.
Do you offer access for visitors with disabilities?
The building is fully wheelchair accessible along with specialist wheelchair accessible equipment.
Do you cater for visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
All delivery supervisory staff are trained to deal with Special Educational Needs.
