We have implemented the following to ensure we are COVID safe:
- One headset per child during each workshop (we can adjust how many headsets we bring in based on the size of your bubbles)
- Headsets are cleaned thoroughly between use with antibacterial wipes
- Social distancing is maintained at all times
- You can make a provisional booking without any cancellation fees*
Our workshops are COVID safe and are a fantastic way of taking children on school trips, without leaving the classroom. Please enquire about our detailed risk assessment and we'll be more than happy to send you a copy.
*Cancellation must be due to COVID-19

During the Discover Africa workshop, your children will visit the following places across Africa:
- Pyramids of Giza in Egypt
- Turmi market in Ethiopia
- Giraffes in the Serengeti
- Gorillas in the Congo
- Namib Desert in Namibia
- Victoria Falls in Tanzania
- Kruger National Park in South Africa
Following on from this workshop, your pupils can write a travel blog about everything they have learnt and experienced. Our literacy bundles include lesson plans, example texts and LKS2 and UKS2 writing checklists.
Curriculum topics available: Creative writing.
At PrimeVR, we understand how difficult it can be to inspire children with their writing. We aim to create excitement by virtually transporting your class to different locations across Africa! Not only will we provide your class with exciting facts about these locations but we'll also provide them with an experience to ignite their imagination. Give VR a go and see how it helps with creative writing!
Following on from our workshop, you can download our literacy lesson pack, which encourages children to write about their favourite place across Africa they've visited. Each lesson pack includes an instruction sheet, model text and writing checklist (relevant to LKS2 or UKS2).
We cover the following topics using VR:

In line with government guidance, we can deliver a maximum of six workshops throughout the school day with a maximum of 15 pupils in each workshop.
We bring in 16 headsets and each pupil will have their own during the workshop. Each headset will be cleaned thoroughly with anti-bacterial wipes in between each use.
We recommend workshops lasting a maximum of 30 minutes.
Yes. We've worked with a number of SEN schools and the response/feedback to VR has been fantastic.
"We have had Prime VR in twice and each time it has been excellent. Matt was extremely helpful in setting up the day, communicated wonderfully and adapted to last minute changes. The children were enthralled and really helped to set up our topics. We look forward to having him back in the spring."
