We're using our onsite cottage at Edgmond Hall in Shropshire to support independent living skills with care leavers, SEMH and SEND pupils. Participants can build practical life skills in a real-world context, from practicing household tasks and budgeting, to teamwork and personal care. The programme is designed to nurture independence in a way that’s engaging, empowering, and fun.
"A Countryside Christmas" is a full activity day which includes a chance to explore the Christmas journey with our elves, Jingles & Sprinkles, follow our Nativity Trail getting dressed up along the way, tackle exciting wintry team challenges, and even meet Santa in our fabulous grotto!
The day's learning focuses on developing skills and knowledge in science, literacy, art and PSHE. And it's great fun too.
It's only £13pp with a minimum charge of £390 for up to 30 pupils

What activities are available during educational visits?
A Countryside Christmas Day Visit includes orienteering (Exploring Santa's secret map!), team building challenges (elf training!), meeting Father Christmas in our grotto, Christmas crafts, and finding presents & baubles around the grounds to dress the Christmas tree.

Christmas School Trip
Christmas is a special time at Edgmond Hall. Complete with grotto, nativity, Santa's workshop and a sometimes even a visit to the local church to see the village Christmas tree display, the centre is transformed to immerse
children in adventure and the Christmas spirit.
Team building becomes "Elf Training", and orienteering becomes a chance to find Santa's secret workshop... there's lots of festive fun on offer for a magical day at Edgmond Hall.

Groups with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND)
We do cater for children with Special Educational Needs; group leaders should discuss specific needs at the time of booking. We have experience of delivering a wide range of activities and learning opportunities to groups with additional needs. These have included physical impairments, sensory impairments, learning difficulties (ADHD, ASD, MLD, SLD, PMLD, and more), challenging behaviour, acquired brain injuries and life limiting illnesses. Our practitioners have received training on how to communicate and encourage personal and social development for all abilities.
You know your students best; well speak with you to see whether we are able to provide an appropriate environment, programme, and experience for your group. You would be most welcome to visit the site to take a look around and learn more.
Our in-grounds cottage is fully accessible downstairs to wheelchair users. We have an off-road wheelchair available for use that provides access around the grounds.

Our Christmas-themed visits are also available as 2 night residentials from £125pp for 2 nights / 3 days of activities, fun and learning.

Who are Edgmond Hall?
Whether it's developing character or bringing a topic to life, our 43 acres of private woodland, gardens and fields is the perfect base for our team to take advantage of the surroundings and deliver an exciting, thematic, memorable learning experience. Edgmond Hall is a beautiful Georgian country farmhouse with small animals on site.
