Why book
'Tudors' with Marvellous History Ltd
Our workshops are run by professional costumed specialists with years of experience in school settings. We don't "stand at the front and talk", we expect the children (and teachers!) to get involved and really feel what it was like to live in Tudor times.
Our Tudor and Elizabethan workshops cover the period from 1485 to the early 1600s. Henry VIII and Elizabeth I are two of our most iconic monarchs and the time in which they ruled brought great change to Britain. Six weddings, three funerals and two divorces; religious strife and the establishment of the Church of England; Shakespeare; the birth of the British Empire; the discovery and colonisation of America; travel, trade and adventure and even the humble potato - all these contributed to making the Tudor age challenging, dramatic and exciting!
We bring authentically made replica artefacts into school and our costumed workshop leaders will give you a day full of fun activities and hands-on experiences.
