Why book Dan Tastic Education for educational workshops into your school?

With the cost of taking a class to a free museum by coach, our workshops provide excellent value for money with no work placed on the school!

Your Dan Tastic Workshop Facilitator will arrive at 08:00 to set up an exciting display of historical weapons, flags, sailing equipment, treasures and lots of other interesting props. Using humour and a huge wealth of knowledge on the subject matter, your Dan Tastic Workshop Facilitator will educate and entertain your pupils for the full day, leaving the children a real insight into the history of pirates, a thirst for knowledge, a piece of treasure to keep and the chance to use their writing skills to send us a letter or email.

A typical day can include;

The history of pirates
Life at sea
Life in the 1700s
Looking at parts of a ship
Looking at historical weapons
Looking at flags
Handling treasure
Drawing treasure maps
Pirates Games
Pirate Songs
Pirate Stories

"I booked a pirate day with Dan Tastic Education as end our class topic on Pirates. It was FANTASTIC! The engagement with the children was fabulous and energetic! A day of cross curricular activities and workshops covering Maths, literacy, PE, Drama, geography, history, story telling and much more in a fun and engaging way. They clearly had my Year 2 Crew on board with their learning! Dan Tastic Education came to our primary school last week to kick start our new topic of Pirates and he certainly got us off to a great start. The morning was spent finding out about a range of Pirate information. There was such a great amount of knowledge on the subject and they were fantastic at communicating with the children. The children (and the teachers) laughed all the way through, saw incredible artefacts and got the chilren were completely involved from beginning to end. They were spellbound! In the afternoon we had all 60 children in the hall and they had no problems keeping them the children entertained with games, songs and stories. It was pretty mad at times & the children absolutely loved it. Many described it as 'the best day ever' and we got some fantastic writing about Pirates the following day. This is the second year that we've had Dan Tastic Education, and we would definitely book again next year!"

"We were completely amazed with our workshops from Dan Tastic Education! Both Dan and his partner Em breathe life into education, making it captivating and exciting. They really focus on inspiring the children to learn, engaging the whole class with mind-expanding questions and taking them all on an adventure throughout the whole day. We’ve had two workshops and are already discussing how many more we can get in this term! Dan Tastic Education really capture the spirit of the new creative curriculum. Absolutely fantastic – keep up the good work! "
