In 2020, lots of plans suddenly had to change when national and local lockdown restrictions forced the postponement or cancellation of school trips due to Coronavirus. This resulted in a financial impact as deposits were lost and insurance claims were made to recover losses.

We know that many schools will be concerned that this may happen again potentially without the protection of insurance as Covid-19 is no longer an unpredictable event.

With this in mind we have updated our terms and conditions to strictly limit a school's financial losses in the event that cancellation becomes necessary due to government restrictions. The exact amount of exposure will depend on the make-up of services that you choose and the proximity of the planned visit at the point of cancellation, but we are committed to limiting this as much as we possibly can. In many cases we would hope to be able to simply reschedule the date.

Welcome to Education Destination – The Island Classroom

Based just a short ferry journey from both Portsmouth and Southampton, the Isle of Wight is positioned perfectly for schools across the south who are looking for exciting, educational day trips for their students.

Here at Education Destination we want to make the arranging and delivering of these out of the classroom lessons as simple and stress free as possible for teachers, allowing them to do what they are best at, teaching our next generation.

We have a vast variety of day trip options for you here, with a full package available to you including your travel, any entry fee’s and any special requirements all taken care of for you. All we need to know is the date, the number of students and where you want to go, and we will do the rest.

Alternatively, we can help suggest ideas based around what you are looking to teach and best of all, we can provide over 700 pre-prepared learning resources for you to utilise completely FREE. Meaning there is very little for the teachers to do.
