Celtic Harmony Camp is a Covid Secure Venue set in 13 acres of woodland with space for children to spend the day outdoors in the open air. Celtic Harmony holds the 'Good to Go' pledge with Visit England and Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge. We have precautions in place including more hand wash and anti-bacterial stations and deep cleaning of resources and facilities between bubble visits. The health and safety of visiting children has always been our utmost priority.

Celtic Harmony Camp, the largest reconstructed Iron Age settlement in the UK has seven roundhouses located in a beautiful working woodland setting and has been offering hands-on heritage education for over 22 years. What activities are available during group visits?
Prehistory Experience: Travel from being Neolithic Hunter Gatherers to Bronze Age Potters to Iron Age Farmers in this dynamic journey through Prehistory. The day starts with a demonstration of the evolution from Stone to Iron showing real metal ores.
Your own Prehistory Leader will guide small groups of around 15 children. The pupils will be engaged in Wattle Fencing and Explore our Bronze Age Roundhouse, making Flints & Soap Knapping Arrow Heads, and also creating their Own Bronze Age Beaker Pot. They will Grind Grain on Iron Age Quern Stones and make Flat Bread, and Trade and Barter.

At Celtic Harmony Camp children step into ancient Britain and experience Celtic life from the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age through our programme of multi-sensory, experiential activities. School groups, led by our costumed education team take part in activities such as pottery, grinding grain and making bread, weaving on warp-weighted looms, bartering and trading with Celtic coins, archery, arts and crafts, fire lighting, warrior demonstrations and storytelling. What size groups do you cater for?
Up to 150 children.
Do you offer on-site classroom facilities?
The Prehistory Centre is new heritage centre with a Stone to Iron Age exhibition and photo backdrops of Prehistory landscape including Stone Henge! The roundhouses are outdoor classrooms and we have a cafe and outdoor under cover eating area.
Is there first aid on site?
We have first aiders on site and first aid kits.
Do you offer access for visitors with disabilities?
We have a disabled toilet and access for all pathway around the Camp.
Do you cater for visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
We can tailor make the Prehistory Experience for children with special needs. We regularly work with children and adults with learning difficulties.
Who are Celtic Harmony?

There are several day trips covering different themes including Stone Age, Iron Age Farmer, Warrior, Chieftain, Prehistory Experience and Art in Prehistory.
Our expert educators have designed the days to link with new history curriculum for KS2 studies Prehistory from Stone to Iron Age and a focus on local history in KS1. New this year is the Art in Prehistory will enable your pupils to visit a Palaeolithic Cave and try their hand at cave art as well as pottery and torc bracelet making.
