Real Adventure is a mobile organisation offering bespoke outdoor education residential and day courses across the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. We offer you the flexibility to create your own bespoke outdoor environmental and adventure courses that are tailored to you and your group. We provide high quality, educational and safe day and residential adventures at an affordable cost.

Both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, offer fantastic opportunities for adventure learning - it can be hard to choose where to go. As a mobile company, we use a selection of venues and will help you to identify the one that suits your requirements for group size, activity preferences and transport.
You can select from a range of options to build your own bespoke day or residential adventure. Whether you fancy delving underground, journeying overground, getting wet, staying dry, climbing high or keeping feet firmly planted on the ground we have a team of highly qualified, experienced and inspirational staff who will lead you through your next journey and challenge.
Or maybe you require a fully catered residential and transport or need support with equipment or specialist staff and expertise, we can find a solution which will meet all your requirements.

What size groups do you cater for?
We can offer one to one support or accommodate a whole year group of over 100.
Recommended individual group size between 8-10 participants per instructor. Maximum individual group size 1:12 ratio per instructor.
More specialist and technical activities may require smaller ratios.
Do you offer on-site classroom facilities?
Each accommodation venue will vary on its available facilities. This can be discussed when designing your residential.
Is there first aid on site?
All our staff are first aid qualified. You will need to bring a qualified first aider to be responsible at the accommodation for non-activity time.
Do you offer access for visitors with disabilities?
If you require disabled facilities please let us know so we can discuss an appropriate venue. We have specialist equipment available to enable participation in activities.
Do you cater for visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
Yes. Please get in touch to discuss individual needs and establish how individuals can be integrated into the adventures.
Anything else?
We offer 1 free leader place for every activity group plus 1 extra leader.
We are happy to come along to local schools or group venues to deliver a presentation to participants, leaders and parents.
