Blackwell Adventure has a large campsite, indoor accommodation and plenty of adventurous activities to choose from. The jewel in the crown is the 19th century Manor House which offers indoor accommodation all year round. We also have two Tented Villages and the Stable Block, ideal for those looking for an alternative to traditional camping.
Through our Multi Activity Days, 1 night, 2.5 and 5 day residential packages, GCSE climbing courses and bespoke packages, we offer schools a wide range of activities and experiences which help to develop students personal and social skills, from the high adrenaline zip wire to the precision of archery there is something for everyone.

From our helpful and friendly booking team to our experienced activity instructors, your Blackwell Adventure begins today! We support teachers visiting the centre from start to finish, from creating bespoke programmes, helping with travel arrangements and sending kit lists or simply helping you to move luggage when you arrive. Having run for over 11 years, our product is above and beyond and our low cost does not reflect the high quality product, we have options to suit all budgets. We have over 150 schools who have been returning to Blackwell for many years and we feel our packages offer fantastic value for money -
Activities – On our 2.5 Day package you will do around 16 hours of activities and we do not have any exclusions so they will experience a wide variety of bases to suit all abilities.
Evening – We also run activities in the evening such as orienteering, toasting marshmallows around the camp fire or cooling off in our outdoor swimming pool.
Catering – The food here is highly rated by our customers as its home cooked and very tasty. Food choices would include cooked breakfast, sandwiches for lunch , lasagne or homemade pizza then for pudding homemade chocolate brownies.
Support – As a member of the LOTC we ensure your learning outcomes are met. We also provide a group co-ordinator from the beginning of your stay, who is there to ensure you have a great time and can help with anything from washing sleeping bags to making hot chocolate if the kids need a warm up.
Service – We want to make the whole process as easy as possible for you, so we will always be here to help and will come to your School to do a presentation to parents and children to show what their experience will entail and the benefits.

What size groups do you cater for?
We can accommodate you, no matter what the group size. We have accommodation for up to 172 and have had groups of up to 3,000 camping.
Do you offer on-site classroom facilities?
We have dedicated classroom facilities and flexible spaces in our Manor House, Tented Village and Stable Block, but not all classrooms have four walls, you can explore our beautiful 52 acre estate here and 50 acres at our water centre, Pikes Pool and take learning into the great outdoors!
Is there first aid on site?
Our activity instructors are fully qualified in first aid, as are our on call staff who are available 24 hours a day.
Do you offer access for visitors with disabilities?
We have dedicated disabled facilities including a newly refurbished disabled toilet and shower room. Most of our accommodation facilities are all on one level and paths around the site are wide and easily accessible.
Do you cater for visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
We welcome individuals with Special Educational Needs, we believe that everyone has the right to an adventure. Our staff are trained in how to best adapt sessions to support the needs and abilities of the young people.

Owned by The Birmingham Scout Association, Blackwell Adventure is a non-profit making charity which supports over 20,000 young people in the outdoors every year. The large numbers of Schools and Colleges that book year on year are a credit to what Blackwell Adventure offers.
