Brave Britain at War
School Workshops - Theatre Workshop Ltd
We have re-worked all our History workshops so that a visit from us to your school will meet with the Social Distancing guidelines.
One of our company members will arrive with the minimum of equipment (which will be disinfected on arrival and leaving the premises. Gloves to be worn.)
The workshop will take place in the school hall, where seats and benches will be spaced accordingly, the activity the children will be involved with, will be one that can be done on their own.
No contact will be made from our actor to the pupils or teaching staff.
We understand everyone’s concerns, but we will ensure a safe environment for the workshop to take place. And it will be still packed full of fun and facts and great value for money.
We are more than happy to work with you on how this can be managed for an engaging yet fun and informative workshop for the children.

Why book Theatre Workshop Ltd's Brave Britain at War workshop for your school?
Brave Britain at War Workshop, is well, inspired & thought provoking.
World War I Workshop - Meet Vera.
It has the pupils gripped from the moment they meet Vera our Edwardian Lady. She describes how her husband enlisted in 1914, but where is he now? She joins the Nursing ranks to find him and save other soldiers. A true story, but will she find him?
World War II Workshop
Watch your pupils board the train to take them away from the bombs of London. But where will they stay and with who? Meet the lady from the Ministry who will evacuate your pupils. Watch them board the train with their one suitcase. What should they pack in the suitcase? Also in the Workshop they learn about rationing & how they could help the war effort.
All done in the comfort & security of your own school. The workshop will inspire pupils to continue doing research for themselves, develop their understanding of the past and have a great time participating in the drama activities.
Which Curriculum Subjects do you cater for?
Our experienced actor will arrive at your school with a pop-up theatre Experience.
The pupils will get the chance to meet an Officer from the Ministry, who tells them about evacuation & gives them the load down on rationing. They also meet a Land Girl who works on a farm and she chats about make do and mend & sending red-cross parcels to the forces.
And if that is not enough, they take part in an evacuation drill and air raid.
The pupils will be encouraged, to participate throughout the workshop.
