Why are Theatre Workshop Ltd a great choice for bringing fun workshops into your school?
Brave Britain at War Workshop, is well, inspired & thought provoking.
World War I Workshop - Meet Vera.
It has the pupils gripped from the moment they meet Vera our Edwardian Lady. She describes how her husband enlisted in 1914, but where is he now? She joins the Nursing ranks to find him and save other soldiers. A true story, but will she find him?
World War II Workshop
Watch your pupils board the train to take them away from the bombs of London. But where will they stay and with who? Meet the man from the Ministry who will evacuate your pupils. What should they pack in the suitcase? Also in the Workshop meet soldier Private Sid, doing his duty peeling potatoes, and spilling the beans as life a solider. Hope to receive a red cross parcel from home.
All done in the comfort & security of your own school. The workshop will inspire pupils to continue doing research for themselves, develop their understanding of the past and have a great time participating in the drama activities.
What activities are available during group visits?
Our Workshop Programme.
The workshop leader will arrive at your school and set the scene with a pop-up theatre in your hall.
During the workshop the pupils will meet a variety of colourful characters.
The pupils will join in: A stone age archaeological dig, mummify a Pharaoh, bid at a slave auction, sail a long boat, sweep a chimney, bandage a solider, or act out being Macbeth - None stop interactive workshop.
We will show the children how to improvise their own version of the historical events, put them in order on a timeline and have the plenty of opportunity to ask questions.
