Covid-19 Precautions
We will be providing hand sanitiser for pupils to use upon entry and when exiting workshops and where possible intend to wipe down materials in between sessions. Presenters will be come equipped with a face shield to be used when addressing the group and face masks when in discussion with individuals or smaller groups.
Developed to encourage pupils to pursue their own creativity and imagination. Pupils design and build large structures to a theme. The workshops conclude with self evaluation of the structures.

Why book Architecture Workshops - Pre History Workshops workshop for your school?
Designed to stimulate imaginations and excite children and teachers alike, these workshops focus on simple ideas to great effect. Using numbers, counting, shapes and space pupil’s work together to build simple modular forms. The ideas found in this workshop are developed throughout our repertoire of workshops, from KS 1 & 2 right up to KS 3,4 & 5.
Which Curriculum Subjects do you cater for?
Maths
Curriculum topics available: Logic and Problem Solving, Shape.
Focused practical tasks taking history as a starting point and using, DT, maths literacy, science and drama to differing degrees pupils create large scale reconstructions of famous architectural landmarks that bring curriculum subjects to life.
Citizenship
Curriculum topics available: Team building.
Pupils work in teams and altogether to create the finished structure
Design Technology
Curriculum topics available: Mechanics and engineering.
We show how simple materials can be used in amazing ways
Prehistory
Curriculum topics available: Stone Age.
We build a huge model of Stonehenge and re-enact a sacrifice to the sun.
