Discover Egyptian ingenuity and beliefs, whilst developing knowledge about the trials of living and dying in Egypt.
All Egyptian residential visits will include an Egyptian banquet where the children can dress in costume and understand why Egyptians held feasts.
What activities are available during group visits?
Understand Shadoof building and why farming was difficult in Ancient Egypt.
Experience elements of Egyptian culture through the embalming and mummification process.
Which Curriculum Subjects do you cater for?
An Egyptians school trip to remember! From the moment you arrive at Ufton you will be immersed in the stories and lives of the Royal Household of Prince Pteppic. We have found that by keeping a story running through your time with us children (and adults) have fun, and remember much more of what they have learnt. We will launch your story with a dramatic proclamation from a scroll, which will give your children a historical name, place them in history and give them a purpose for their visit. From that moment you will learn all the skills needed to serve the Prince, including how to prepare his body for its journey to the afterlife!
What size groups do you cater for?
Is there first aid on site?
Yes, all our teachers are first aid qualified. However, all schools are expected to bring a first aid trained member of staff to administer first aid to their pupils.
Do you offer access for visitors with disabilities?
Yes, we have disabled facilities in the house, tithe barn and cabin site, including a fully equipped disabled cabin and bathroom.
Do you cater for visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
