The Gordon Brown Centre
The GBC located of junction 5 of the M3 in the historic village of Rotherwick, providing residential and day visit opportunities for schools within its 25 acres set in a conservation area and benefit from a wealth of natural charms and designed facilities that provide children with a lifelong experience. Up to 222 staying. We can fully cater for up to 138 in our two building with a brand new facility £1 million pound facility just built. Plus up to 84 in our glamping village.
Children have been supported by a team of dedicated staff receiving a high quality services since 1976.
Why are The Gordon Brown Centre great for School Trips and Educational Visits?
Over the last 40 years our history has seen schools returning year on year, and children returning as teachers supporting future generations children education in this unique environment. Emphasising that this is “more than just an outdoor centre”.
What activities are available during group visits?
We pride ourselves on providing visitors with a personalised visit built around their requirements. With a mix of environmental and outdoor education programmes available plus the opportunity to get involved with feeding and caring for our onsite goats, pigs, chickens, donkeys, rabbits.
Covering topic subject including: Greeks, Egyptians, Romans, Saxon, Vikings, Medieval, Victoria..
Facilities include:, High and low rope courses, laser gun village, archery, trim trail, den building, pond and river studies, history walk off site water sports to name just a few.
What size groups do you cater for?
Up to 222 staying. We can fully cater for up to 138 in our two building with a brand new facility £1 million pound facility just built. Plus up to 40 in our glamping village.
Do you offer on-site classroom facilities?
On site we have both indoor and outdoor classroom facilities.
Is there first aid on site?
We have trained first aiders on site during the day time.
Do you offer access for visitors with disabilities?
