We have 30+ activities from archery, climbing and zip wire to bushcraft, orienteering and den building - catering for a wide range of ages and abilities. Whether you need a full multi-day residential or a one-day activity programme, we'll tailor the experience to your group's goals and budget.

Physical Education

We have many adventurous and physical activities that will challenge your students. Our popular activities include our zip wire, climbing wall, abseil tower, crate stacking, gladiator challenge, leap of faith, pirate climb, night line, aeroball, jacobs ladder, archery, crossbows, giant table football, team building, orienteering.
Bushcraft
>
Small group bushcraft sessions teach safety around fire and tools. Your students will light their own fires, pop some popcorn or make a refreshing hot drink.
Our woodland environment is idea for quiet bushcraft sessions among the trees.
Outdoor Learning

Our woodland setting is ideal for groups to both learn outdoors and learn about the outdoors. We offer a wide range of outdoor activities including wildlife hunts, orienteering courses and den building that enable young people to explore the environment and discover new things in their own way
Team Building

Bespoke team building sessions delivered to your group. Our instructors will challenge your students with team puzzles that will test their resilience, dexterity and problem solving. For schools wishing a greater emphasis on teamwork our site activities can be adapted to provide additional challenges.
Wildlife
>
Surrounded by ancient woodland your students will experience the natural environment of the Surrey Hills. Your students may see our local badgers, see the squirrels among the trees while accompanied by bird song.
What size groups do we cater for?
From small groups of 12 pupils to year groups of up to 220 pupils.
On-site classroom facilities?
We can cater for 240 in tented camp and 38 in buildings, this number is split across three buildings.
Is there first aid on site?
All staff hold a valid first aid qualification.
Groups with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND)
Our bespoke residentials and activities can be tailored to the needs of your group. Our instructors are permanent specialist instructors experienced in supporting guests with special educational needs; they have the experience and patience to allow every student to thrive, choose their own personal challenges and collect worthwhile memories and learning experiences.
Making the outdoors accessible to all is central to our ethos. We have extensive experience working with mixed ability groups and look forward to discussing your requirements. We have an accessible toilet and showers in one of the buildings.

We can often provide exclusive use of the site depending upon the size of your residential group.
We are pleased to say that many schools that visit us at Bentley Copse return year on year for their residentials. All schools receive a tailored activity programme. These packages are created in conjunction with the trip leaders and can range from shooting arrows in Archery to flying through the air on our Zip Wire.
Who are Bentley Copse Activity Centre?
For more than 100 years Bentley Copse has been delivering outdoor experiences and helping make memories for young people. We are owned by Surrey County Scouts and operated by a permanent staff of experienced instructors. Our aim is to enable young people to develop through taking part in outdoor activities in a fun and safe environment. This simple aim has led us to develop our Centre that rivals commercially run Centres in terms of both facilities and activity provision.
