- High ratios of qualified instructors to ensure pupils aren’t left waiting around in queues for activities

What activities are available during group visits?
Bushman - Bushcraft is an excellent way for young people to develop their confidence in the outdoor environment. Bushman affords lots of opportunities for learning new skills such as fire-lighting, whittling, shelter building, tree and plant identification, search and rescue, natural cordage and campfire cooking.
Buccaneer - The Buccaneer is our pirate themed adventure where the groups get to live aboard boats and learn to sail.
Sherpa - Inspired by the hardy Nepalese tribe, the Sherpa Expedition covers everything to do with trekking and navigation and often includes rock climbing and horse riding.
Viking - Canoe expeditions are a fantastic way to explore canals, rivers and lakes. For older pupils our Viking Expeditions are run in Sweden while younger paddlers can travel the length of the Medway in Kent or the Norfolk Broads.
Gyptian - The Gyptian expedition is based on the incredible books by Philip Pullman and takes place on the Narrow Boats of the Gyptian Tribe. While cruising along canals the Gyptian Crew will look after their boat, cook their own meals and negotiate the locks, while at the same time caring from their Daemons and avoiding the wicked Gobblers!
Smuggler - The Smuggler expedition gives students a great excuse to have an adventure by the beach. Smugglers go coasteering and sea kayaking, learn about coastal geography and bushcraft and use codes, signals and secret maps to get contraband past the Revenue.
What size groups do you cater for?
We can cater for up to 80 children and 10 staff.
Is there first aid on site?
All of our instructors have a minimum of 8hr First Aid training up to Far From Help Medical Training.
Anything else?
In addition to our standard expedition types we also offer bespoke expeditions, one-off day events and curriculum based programmes during the school term. Please contact us for more information.
