Romans School Trips
Ufton Court is a Grade 1 Elizabethan Manor House set within 16 acres of historical grounds and woodland. The rich environment combined with specialist teachers enable Ufton Court to offer a unique approach to education, teaching children in new and imaginative ways which enrich their learning and their lives.
Our aim is to inspire your class to develop a passion for history and the outdoors. We understand that all schools are different and so our learning style is very flexible and our teachers work hard to provide schools with individual programmes that meet their needs.
Our schools get sole use of their residential sites at night, whether it is our beautiful Manor House or our cosy woodland cabins.
Why are Ufton Court great for School Trips and Educational Visits?
The children will learn about aspects of Roman Britain - become legionaries in the Roman army and march across Britain in the name of the emperor. Or develop your knowledge of military strategies to earn your way up the army ranks. Programmes at Ufton History can be tailored towards the desires of your school visit. A session may begin with preparing for the threat of a Roman invasion, before meeting a Roman citizen and then discovering Roman customs and inventions. It is then concluded by a lively re enactment of the story of Boudicca.
