School Trips @ Theatre Workout
"Looking for online or digital trips?"
While Covid-19 remains at large we are unable to run our award-winning West End Workshops or School Trips, which add so much value to student's education.
But all is not lost!
WE CAN deliver our multi-award-winning drama programmes in schools and online, providing outstanding educational content in the comfort and safety of your school AND WE CAN also plan school trips from June 2021 onwards, by which time we hope the non-covid world will begin to return.
Students have missed out on a lot this year and we are doing everything we can to mitigate that and ensure trips can go ahead at a later date. Please get in touch or visit our website for more information.
Thank you - and stay safe!

Why book Theatre Workout for School Trips and Educational Visits?
London's theatres are the most Googled theatres on the planet. Theatre Workout is the leading producer of educational workshops for one of the world's greatest attractions, maximising student's creative learning opportunity and nurturing a life-long love of theatre.

Which Curriculum Subjects do you cater for?
Curriculum topics available: Story writing, Shakespeare, Creative writing, Story telling.
English Leterature and Drama often go hand-in-hand in many schools, and over 2500 English students participate in our workshops each year! Shakespeare never wrote a word to be studied, he wrote to be performed, so a drama workshop will help students visualise and connect physically with themes, characters and stories as they bring them to life.
Our workshops are full-on, practical, participatory drama and performing arts workshops led by industry professionals who will help you develop new skills, develop a greater understanding of productions you're going to see, or expand the curriculum projects you're working on.
Dance plays a large part in the work we do, especially in dance, musical theatre and physical theatre workshops. We focus on the creative process of developing choreography for dance routines and more, giving your students a greater understanding of how choreography is developed, giving them ownership of their work.
Musical theatre workshops develop a greater understanding of how music drives a performance and enriches the theatre experience. We also offer music appreciation workshops in which we disect and reassemble music from shows like Wicked, which is on the music curriculum.
We work with about 2000 international students each year helping them develop a greater understanding of English through drama.
Curriculum topics available: Teamwork and resilience.
Teamwork, collaboration, leadership, confidence development, communication skills, and other essential life skills are learned through drama and performing arts. It's just part of the equation of what we do!
What activities are available during group visits?
Primary groups may prefer drama based workshops, focused on storytelling and image theatre, perhaps related to shows like the Lion King or Matilda.
GCSE drama groups may prefer physical theatre workshops inspired by Frantic Assembly, Grotowski or Brecht, tailored to the Woman In Black or The Play That Goes Wrong.
A-level groups may want to push their performance skills in a musical theatre workshop or audition masterclass, learning choreography and working on songs from a West End show.
Any workshop option is available, tailored to the age and ability of your group. Simply tell us what you want to achieve and we'll reccommend the perfect package!
All workshop bookings can be accompanied with theatre tickets, coach hire, backstage tours, accommodation, meals and other attractions as required.
What size groups do you cater for?
Theatre Workout caters for any group size, although 25-35 is the average. Larger groups can be split between studios, and our largest group to date is over 200 students in several spaces simultaneously.
