Viking School Visits
Home / /
Established in 2012, Viking School Visits specialise in bring the Early Medieval (Dark Age) period to life. We offer both Anglo Saxon and Viking days, covering the time from when the Romans left to the Norman conquest. It's possibly the most important formative period in our history, and yet most people know little about it.
We work to the highest standards of authenticity and constantly update our knowledge of the latest research into the period. Then we take that knowledge and disseminate it in inventive and child-friendly ways so that historical concepts are clearly understood by your class. We also understand how important it is to encourage enquiry skills with plenty of question time for the children to dig deeper into their own learning.
Why are Viking School Visits a great choice for bringing fun workshops into your school?
We bring full and half day workshops into schools, colleges, universities and museums nationwide. Whether tailored to your specific focus or providing a general overview of the times, students will gain immense benefit from meeting a "real Anglo Saxon" in the comfort and security of their own classroom.
We provide DBS checks, risk assessments, and teachers are fully supported before and after the visit, with timetables, worksheets and follow-up communication. You can also speak to existing clients before booking to satisfy any queries about our service.
Client comments regularly include "best visit of its kind" and "taught us more in one day than we could have done in a term".
