Longtown Outdoor Learning Centre

School Trips

Home / School Workshops

We have been delivering exciting programmes of adventure activities to children and young people since 1964. The centre is situated on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, only 25 miles from the M50.

The centre specialises in delivering multi-activity outdoor education courses that aim to promote resilience, self-confidence, consideration for others, caring for the environment and the benefits of an active outdoor lifestyle. This comes from enjoying the successes achieved through personal endeavour and working together, in wild and beautiful landscapes.

We are fully equipped for a broad range of Adventure Activities and have been licensed by the Adventurous Activities Licensing Authority for the following activities: Abseiling, Caving, Coasteering, Gorge Scrambling , Hill Walking & Mountaineering, Kayaking, Stand Up Paddle boarding, Open Canoeing and Rock Climbing.

In addition we have 16 acres of on-site activities including a woodland with bivouac shelters and campfire, a training pool for Stand Up Paddle boards and kayaks, a rock climbing tower and a variety of exciting ropes courses.
