Why
book 'YHA Holmbury St Mary' with YHA for Residential School Trips and Educational Visits?
YHA Holmbury provides the ideal base for school groups wanting to have a fun-filled stay in the great outdoors, surrounded by the woodland in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Yet this hostel is just a stone’s throw from central London, in fact from some amazing viewpoints that surround the hostel, including Leith Hill, you can easily see Canary Wharf and other famous London landmarks.
We can offer groups our Discovery package which includes activities throughout the day and evening, alternatively we can also provide bolt-on activities to your self-led stay available as either a half-day or full day option. Our packages include activities that make the most of the amazing woodland on our doorstep, an interactive guided walk to Holmbury Hill which is a must for all groups – the view at the end never ceases to amaze groups of all ages. Plus shelter building in the woods, fire-lighting and team challenges are always sure to delight.
For older groups looking for self-led adventures this hostel is a great base for exploring the local area and woodlands. The grounds are ideal for fieldwork, especially biology, stunning backdrops for film sets, and opportunities to get to know your pupils in a different setting.
Groups and schools are well catered for here, with meals available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hostel offers a coded door lock for security and plenty of indoor and outdoor space for you to relax. We’re also ideally placed for trips out to attractions including Chessington World of Adventure, or trips to the bright lights of London.

Who are YHA?
We are YHA.
We transform young lives forever through travel and real adventure.
Because where you go changes who you become.
To show how important travel and adventure is, we’ve taken it away from someone who depends on it… and given it to children who’ve been missing out.
