The Adventure Learning Charity is a charity who offer children and young people the chance to learn and enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities at an affordable cost. Our expert instructors work to build learning targets and deliver learning outcomes to ensure that everybody gains in confidence and teamwork whilst having fun. From single activities through to longer residential with a choice of 18 activities the options are endless.

Longridge has over 50 years experience in delivering outdoor activities to children , young people and adults alike. With its unique, beautiful riverside location and range of land and water activities there is something for everyone. The site is on a quiet backwater of the Thames which makes it perfect for water sports beginners with direct access to the main river for the more experienced. A Climbing Tower and Giant Swing offer high up experiences and our private island give a great base for Bushcraft and Environmental opportunities or a real Swallows and Amazons adventure.
The centre has great transport links with ample parking and a range of bunk room and camping facilities and options for fully catered stays. Newly renovated fully accessible toilets and showers, ample open space and dedicated groups areas available.
What size groups do you cater for?
Group size can be flexible we can offer activities for as few as 4 up to open days for up to 400
Do you offer on-site classroom facilities?
Pre-bookable dedicated rooms and spaces are available for classroom use.
Is there first aid on site?
All of our instructors are fully first aid trained and there is always a trained First Aider on site.
Do you offer access for visitors with disabilities?
Yes there are range of activities and accommodation solutions which can be adapted for those with additional needs. Please call to discuss exact requirements.
Do you cater for visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
All of our instructors have experience assisting children with SEN, Adventure Learning Villages often adapt activities to ensure that all can achieve a level of success. Please call to discuss exact requirements

For just £20, participate in 3 activities chosen specifically to maximise your desired outcomes. Arrive for 09:00, participate in 3 of our adventurous activities, enjoy lunch in a beautiful riverside setting and depart by 15:00.
