Entry tickets to Chessington include access to all of the rides and attractions in the park including the theme park, Zoo and SEA LIFE centre. Our free cross-curricular online resources are designed to help you get the most from your visit with activities designed to keep you busy before, during and after your visit.

Learning outcomes can be further improved by choosing from a selection of hands-on workshops in our new Wild Learning Centre. Covering topics from habitats and conservation to forces and DT we have a wide range of workshops to fit your learning objectives.

Workshops are available during term time, excluding weekends and bank holidays, for an additional £1.75 per student. All workshops must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.

Why book Chessington for School Trips and Educational Visits?

When students are enjoying a lesson it shows. It shows in their attention levels, in the effort they put in and the results they achieve. The Education Programme at Chessington World of Adventures Resort offers maximum educational value through unique and stimulating learning experiences and a focus on curriculum relevant workshops and content.

We have been accredited with the LOtC quality award badge, enabling us to help you with risk assessments, free teacher visits prior to your trip and educational resources to help you get the most out of the day. Importantly, your pupils can take part in a number of structured workshops that are linked to the National Curriculum and specific programmes of study.

What activities are available during group visits?

Safari in Action! This active 'walkshop' takes place in the theme park itself taking your pupils on a guided walk around our Wanyama village and the animals that call it home!

What size groups do you cater for?

We are able to cater for any group size at Chessington World of Adventures Resort. The minimum number of pupils per workshop is 10 The maximum number of pupils per workshop is 30-40.

Is there first aid on site?

Chessington World of Adventures Resort has a comprehensive emergency plan that has been developed in conjunction with the emergency services. Staff are trained in what to do in an emergency. The Park has Medical/First Aid facilities which are operated by a dedicated team of qualified first aiders. The Park also has a defibrillator with a team of employees trained to operate this equipment. First aiders are trained to deal with all minor injuries on site and also in the initial stages of any major injuries that may occur until the emergency services arrive at the scene. The Park has hospitals nearby with Accident and Emergency facilities. The facilities also operate a lost person collection point so that they may be reunited for those responsible for them.

Do you offer access for visitors with disabilities?

Preferred and more convenient car parking is available for disabled guests. Wheelchair hire is available at Chessington World of Adventures Resort. Toilets with disabled access are available throughout the Park. Guests with disabilities who are unable to use the normal queue lines, may visit our Guest Help and Information Office (located in Market Square) where they may be able to receive preferential ride access wristbands (documentary proof of disability may be required). These wristbands allow preferential access to the rides via entry points designed for ease of access.
