At Shooting Star Entertainments, we use engaging, interactive performances to support the PSHE curriculum, helping children develop essential life skills. Captain Wonderweb enhances students’ understanding of key PSHE objectives by:
• Promoting Online Safety & Digital Wellbeing: Teaching children how to navigate social media safely, recognise cyberbullying, and avoid online deception while promoting responsible digital citizenship.
• Building Resilience & Self-Esteem: Encouraging students to make informed choices, develop confidence in their own judgment, and resist peer pressure in online spaces.
• Encouraging Critical Thinking & Communication Skills: Helping children assess online risks, question digital content, and express their thoughts clearly through interactive discussions.
• Supporting Emotional Wellbeing & Respect for Others: Addressing the impact of social media on mental health, fostering empathy, and encouraging respectful online behavior.
• Emphasising Inclusion & Diversity: Ensuring all students feel represented and valued, while discussing the importance of respect and understanding in digital interactions.
By blending education with entertainment, Captain Wonderweb equips children with the knowledge and confidence to navigate the digital world safely, fostering a positive and responsible approach to online interactions.
We provide Relaxed Introductions, Touch Tours, Social Stories, and Makaton. While we are unable to offer BSL translations for our performances, we are happy to supply a copy of our script in advance. This allows any onsite BSL translator you choose to familiarise themselves with the material ahead of the show.
We specialise in creating unforgettable Touring Pantos and Theatre in Education experiences that spark imagination and encourage participation.
Our original scripts are thoughtfully crafted for EYFS, KS1 and KS2, ensuring every show is educational, engaging and fun.
At the heart of what we do is accessibility. With our commitment to 'Making Great Theatre Accessible to Everyone', we're proud to champion inclusive experiences for all. Our team is Makaton-aware, with our Core Performer Team Level 2 Makaton trained, and we actively collaborate with organisations like the NHS to deliver impactful productions. We are also a registered Arts Award Supporter.
From inclusive storytelling to interactive performances, we're dedicated to ensuring every child has the opportunity to experience the joy of live theatre.
We are revolutionising the way Theatre in Education is accessed for schools with our Starlight Pass, giving more value for money than ever before with exclusive access to our online classroom resources like Behind the Scenes videos, Lesson Plans and worksheets so you can make the most out of every performance.
