Our aim is to inspire your class to develop a passion for history and the outdoors. We understand that all schools are different and so our learning style is very flexible and our teachers work hard to provide schools with individual programmes that meet their needs.
Our schools get sole use of their residential sites at night, whether it is our beautiful Manor House or our cosy woodland cabins.
On school trips with Ufton, children immerse themselves in activities, helping them to:
- Enjoy learning
- Increase motivation to learn about history and the environment
- Make Connections
- Spend more time outdoors
- Develop positive relationships in a new setting
- Understand concepts of continuity and change
- Understand concepts of cause and consequence
- Gain historical perspective
- Understand methods of historical enquiry
- Make Connections and draw contrasts
- Analyse trends
Our programmes include: Stone Age & Bronze Age, Ancient Egyptians, Ancient Greeks, The Iron Age (Celts), Romans, Saxons, Vikings, The Tudors and World War 2. In addition we offer a variety of outdoor learning activities that can be tailored to the needs of your class.

Our trips are based in the house and grounds of Ufton Court, a Grade 1 Elizabethan Manor House set within 16 acres of historical grounds and woodland. The rich environment combined with specialist teachers enable Ufton Court to offer a unique approach to education, teaching children in new and imaginative ways which enrich their learning and their lives. At Ufton Court the emphasis is on hands on, creative and interactive learning.
