We’ve partnered with ActivKids UK to help schools fund their Rocktopus workshops! ActivKids will bring a Team GB or Olympic athlete to your school to deliver a fun fitness challenge, offer an inspiring talk on healthy eating, and discuss mental health—all while raising funds to cover the cost of your Rocktopus workshop.

These one-of-a-kind workshops cost £900 per day, covering a full day of immersive, exciting learning that combines PE, music, literacy, and maths. Plus, it’s eligible for Sports Premium funding, making it easier to invest in a workshop with lasting impact on your students’ learning and well-being.

Which Curriculum Subjects do you cater for?

Maths

Measurement

Our Maths Rocks workshop makes learning times tables and maths concepts a rock star adventure. Students write 4 songs about maths, perform with a live band, choreograph dances, and create 4 music videos. This cross-curricular workshop blends music, movement, and maths to keep kids engaged.

Dance

Each time we write a song with children in our workshop, we will also help them create a choreography and perform a dance performance which will be included in their very own music video! It's amazing how excited the children get about their performances!

These workshops are packed wiith music, involve singing, creating rhythms, and end in a musical performance where every child can pass their 'Entry Level 1 Grade' in performance, awarded by RSL Awards!

Whenever we write a song with children in our workshop, we will also help them create a choreography and perform a dance performance which will be included in their very own music video! It's amazing how excited the children get about their performances! Have you ever combined maths with music, dance and literacy? Well heres your chance!

What size groups do you cater for?

In one day we run 4 hour long workshops.
Each workshop can cater for up to 70 children.

Do you offer access for visitors with disabilities?

Yes! We've had plenty of children with disabilities in our workshops and always make time to adapt what we're doing and include them as much as possible.

Do you cater for visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

We run a workshop especially for special needs schools called: The Rocktopus Experience For Special Schools.

Who are Rocktopus?

We are Tom Veck and Andy Hawkings, 2 qualified primary teachers and life long rock musicians with a passion for teaching the next generation to ROCK!

Rocktopus are an award winning rock band for kids, families, schools and anyone who is young at heart! Since forming in 2015, we've taken our high energy, interactive school workshops, live shows and conference energisers to all corners of the UK.

We've created a whopping 800 original school songs and music videos, we've rocked out at Glastonbury Festival and we've energised countless national PE teacher conferences. Combining our experiences as trained primary teachers and rock stars, we are natural performers who care greatly about the well-being of the next generation.
