Our brand new Pirates of Cymru's Coast workshop brings the real history of Pirates to life through hands on, fun activities and talks! We start with a talk on themes such as how they lived, why they were Pirates, Pirate ships, and more, all whilst showing and passing around artefacts! We also dive (off the plank) into some history of some famous Pirates, such a 'Barti Ddu' and Captain Morgan. We also have 2 activities that will get the children laughing and gasping in surprise, one is our exciting 'Fact or False' game where children guess which 'facts' about Pirates are real and which are not, our other activity will be giving Pirate names to everyone in the class by picking them out of a Pirate hat and giving us their best Pirate impression!Our second half includes dressing up in our range of Pirate costumes, as well as getting to look and hold even more artefacts! To finish, learn more and ask as many questions as you like with our Q and A!

Which curriculum topics do we cater for?
Pirates Workshop
Pirates of Cymru's Coast dives (off the plank) into the real history of Pirates! We have 2 fun activities, an exciting discussion on Pirates lives, including those of famous Pirates Barti Ddu, and Captain Morgan, this includes looking at and holding artefacts! We have dress up, a Q and A and getting to hold and look at even more treasures!
What size groups do we cater for?
1.5 hour session for up to 35 children (1 class)
Visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Yes, we cater for all children and can change our workshops to suit their needs
Anything else?
Our workshops are 1.5 hour sessions for 1 class (up to 35 children), we also offer other sessions if needed, please ask if you'd prefer longer sessions or sessions throughout the day.
