Why
book The Bushcraft Company for Residential School Trips and Educational Visits?
The adventure begins as soon as you arrive, exploring the woods in search of your private tented village that you will call home for the next few days. Once found you are truly back to nature. Each school has their own private camp for the duration of their stay, meaning everything is tailored around you. Students will stay in large safari style bell tents based around a beautiful central yurt, which will be the heart of camp.
We create bespoke itineraries based on the age of the students, skill level and group size. They will enjoy a range of activities, from Fire lighting and Shelter building, to Archery, Camouflage and Scenario SOS!
Our staff are fantastic! They live in the woods whilst with us and their knowledge and passion is incredible! We provide the highest standards of health and safety, and care – our staff go the extra mile to provide outstanding pastoral support while your school is on camp.
Our unforgettable Bushcraft Camps don’t just give students the taste of adventure but inspire a lifetime of it!

Which Curriculum Subjects do you cater for?
Citizenship topics: Personal development and resilience, Team building.
Students work in smaller groups of around 15 students, which we call Tribes. The activities are designed so the students work collaboratively to achieve the end goal and realise their own potential. We put their skills to the test in multiple situations where they can truly be challenged in an exciting way. The students will have increased resilience and overall personal development.
Physical Education
Many of our activities encourage the students to be physically active in many ways, including collecting fire wood, wilderness walks and playing woodland games. It is a great way to enjoy fitness in a fun and safe environment.
All our activities are designed so that everyone can take part in every activity at the same time. This encourages teamwork and also ensures the students get the most out of every minute on camp. They are not simply watching their friends do an activity, they are experiencing every moment too.
PSHE topics: Healthy Living, Healthy eating, Teamwork and resilience.
Getting back to the great outdoors is the best way to promote healthy living. Many of our activities are physically active, so the students can enjoy exercise in a fun way. Other activities may be less physically active and instead promote mental challenges, encouraging them to be innovative and overcome challenges in an positive way.
We have a fantastic healthy menu on camp, catering for all dietary requirements. Students participate some of the cooking, giving them the opportunity to learn and have a positive understanding of the food we eat.
All activities are designed to build resilience, confidence and teamwork.
Wildlife
Great things happen in the great outdoors! Taking place in the tranquillity of the woods, students will engage and connect with the natural world in a way that possibly they have never done so before. They will go on interesting wilderness walks, learning about the wildlife around us. Our leaders have a fantastic depth of knowledge and are passionate about the natural world, which they love to share with the students.
Bushcraft
Bushcraft skills are at the core of what we do. There’s a whole host of activities available; Fire Lighting, Shelter Building, Camouflage and Concealment, Trap Making, Wilderness Cooking to name a few!
