All Kingswood staff go through health and safety training and there are first aiders on site at all times.
Kingswood endeavour to make centres accessible to as many young people as possible. Experience has taught us that the best way to understand the extent, and limitations, of the provision centres offer, is for party leaders to visit the centre itself and discuss the requirements with the management team on site.
Kingswood’s provisions for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities including learning difficulties, hearing, visual or mobility impairment and behavioural issues can be found on the SEND page of their website along with risk assessments for SEND. However, Kingswood encourage party leaders to contact the management team to arrange SEND provisions.
The five Kingswood centres in the south of England each have something unique to offer:
West Runton on the North Norfolk coast offers sweeping clifftop views over sandy beaches and pine-fringed grounds. This 30 acre site positioned within an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is perfect for geography and science trips with its adjacent coastline designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a diverse range of natural outdoor environments. The indoor and outdoor climbing apparatus, archery ranges, caving system and swimming pools offer a range of confidence and team building activities and there are multipurpose indoor spaces available for teaching.
Overstrand Hall, also on the North Norfolk coast is a spectacular Lutyens manor house, beside the beach a stretch of coastline designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. As well as offering a range of specialist outdoor adventure activities, this is a specialist Environmental Field Study centre for Geography, Biology and Environmental Science, with dedicated and passionate tutors.
Kingswood’s Isle of Wight’s clifftop setting offers stunning views over Whitecliff Bay and direct beach access. The centre caters for a wealth of outdoor activities including a challenging ropes park, bushcraft and orienteering in the natural woodland and an array of sea-based watersports from raft building to kayaking.
Grosvenor Hall in Ashford is a complete indoor and outdoor education centre with some of the best activity facilities in Europe, just an hour outside of London. This impressive 50 acre site has an extensive ropes park, indoor swimming pool, 25,000 square ft sports hall and spacious and well equipped sports hall.
Kingswood are thrilled to welcome Green Park as the latest addition to the Inspiring Learning family. Green Park boasts 80-acres of rolling parkland and mature woodland, as well as having a rich history with it being a former Rothschild estate. The luxury woodland also benefits from being set up by the Rothschild as an Arboretum and has various unique specimens of trees. This beautiful setting has the advantage of offering a quiet, natural environment in the heart of the Chilterns and close to a number of major motorway networks and mainline train stations.
We are one of the UK’s leading providers of outdoor education for young people at all stages of their development and education. We offer a fun, challenging and safe environment in which young people can enjoy a wide range of exciting indoor and outdoor activities. Indoors, there's a large sports hall and outdoors you'll find high ropes courses, a climbing tower, zip wire, archery, mountain bikes and a wonderful array of team building, problem solving and low rope activities.
