Kingswood
School Trips
Successful outdoor residential experiences provide challenge, build confidence and increase pupil engagement and attainment back in class. At our nine outdoor activity centres in the UK and one in France, we offer a wide range of adventurous activities and learning opportunities for primary and secondary schools. We believe passionately in the benefits of taking children outside the classroom to learn and we welcome our schools back year after year.
Why book Kingswood for Residential School Trips and Educational Visits?
With over 30 years’ experience, we are experts in out of the classroom learning.
Through many years of listening to and meeting teachers’ needs and working with external providers and accreditors we have developed educationally rich programmes which meet curriculum standards and we tailor our programmes to your group’s learning objectives.
Working with you, we’ll design a programme to suit your needs. These could be anything from confidence building and developing communication skills for 5-7 year olds with our Young Explorers programme; to a very specific Controlled Assessment for a Geography class. We’ll build a programme made up of modules (targeting specific learning outcomes through progressive sessions) and a choice of over 60 exciting and engaging activities.
We work hard to provide quality education courses with affordable options. We offer a selection of trip durations, available all year round.
What size groups do you cater for?
Any group size can be catered for. There is no minimum group size and providing there is availability, the maximum is the full centre capacity, splitting into smaller groups for activities.
Is there first aid on site?
All Kingswood staff go through health and safety training and there are first aiders on site at all times.
Do you offer access for visitors with disabilities?
We endeavour to make our centres accessible to as many young people as possible. Experience has taught us that the best way to understand the extent, and limitations, of the provision our centres offer, is for party leaders to visit the centre itself and discuss the requirements with the management team on site. We encourage all those who wish to bring a guest with special needs to arrange a free visit to their chosen centre as early as possible in the planning process.
Anything else?
- First aiders and NSPCC trained Child Safety Officer on site
- Institute for Outdoor Learning
- AALA Watersports Licence
- Founder member of BAPA
- Adventuremark badge
- Specialist environmental field studies teaching
