Our workshop leader Matt will arrive bright and early to prepare everything and allow you to put your feet up to enjoy the day! He will provide all activities and resources for the workshop, which include a range of approaches to support your whole class on their learning journey.

Which Curriculum Subjects do you cater for?

Curriculum topics available: The Roman Conquest and Hadrians Wall, Romanisation and ways of life, The Roman Army, Our Roman Legacy.

Do you want to experience life as a Roman? Our workshop covers a wide range of different aspects that would have influenced daily Roman life!

Train as an auxilary fighter or a Roman soldier to join the XIV legion, the army raised by Julius Caesar, who defeated the infamous Queen Boudica! Enjoy some leisure activities and learn about the routines of daily society life.

We run all workshops as experimental archaeologists, and many of our activities focus on using archaeological and enquiry skills. We provide opportunities for comparison between different historical eras to heighten the understanding of the era.

Who are Primary History Workshops?

We are a small, family run company that delivers KS2 workshops across the country!

Collectively, we have been teaching primary school children for over 45 years, and love what we do. We pride ourselves on the quality of our workshops as well as the quantity of the artefacts that we provide. Your children will be engaged throughout any of our workshops, with our interactive, and practical activities!
