What activities are available during this educational workshop?
Our VEX 123 Basics of Coding workshop includes different elements of coding, from simple push buttons to using a magnetic code reader and more. Students will learn how to code their way across the surface of Mars - collecting samples and delivering them to different sensors across the planet's surface!
Which Curriculum Subjects do you cater for?
Maths
Logic and Problem Solving Students will apply problem solving and mathematics when coding their robot around the VEX grid. Students will use calculations, including addition and subtraction to co-ordinate distances and ensure that their robot can reach its goal!
Computing
Robotics Coding This workshop includes different methods of coding which can be adapted to the group. Students will use coding methods to navigate VEX 123 robots across a VEX board, which is divided into a grid to help with coding and navigation.
The VEX Robots can move, light up, make sounds and sense objects - features that can all be initiated via coding.
What size groups do you cater for?
This workshop can accommodate one class of up to 30 students. If you have a bigger group, then we can run multiple workshops on the same day.
Do you offer access for visitors with disabilities?
Yes, all of our workshops are accessible and inclusive. We can adapt any of our sessions for your group or for specific individuals.
