Our full-day Key Stage 2 workshop immerses children in Greece of 490 BCE. In their minds, your school hall becomes the agora in Athens, and they are craftspeople in it. As they work, they are drip fed information about the battle against the Persians, Athenian life and Greek culture.

Ancient Civilisations WorkshopExplore ancient Athens! Learn about the birthplace of democracy, including its beliefs, customs and culture. Children will work in the Athenian agora as the Battle of Marathon rages nearby. They will create Ancient Greek art such as pottery and frescos and will even perform their own Greek plays.
Greeks WorkshopOur workshop immerses children in the history and culture of Ancient Greece during the Battle of Marathon. They will learn about Greek Gods, including Athena and Dionysus. They will also be exposed to Athenian life, democracy, mythology, theatre and more.
