Windrush - Migration Workshop
The Drama Hut
The Drama Hut
Within this workshop we will uncover and explore the arrival of the Windrush generation in Britain in a practical and creative way. Through improvisation and role play, we will create a timeline of events of the HMT Windrush arrival as well as performing a poem and celebrating diversity through song. This workshop will give you the WOW factor as in introduction to a subject, will ignite energy in the middle if booked half way through, or help to consolidate learning and present an opportunity to share knowledge at the end of the topic!

We will also discover and act out significant moments from history linked to the Windrush generation through creating a timeline.
This workshop is a celebration of black history, celebrating the Windrush Generation and the positive effect the migration of people arriving in the UK from Caribbean countries between 1948 and 1971 had on post-war Britain.
