Within this workshop we focus on the migration from Caribbean Countries to the UK between 1948 and 1971. We will explore how the people aboard these voyages would've felt at this time in history. We will also discover and act out significant moments from history linked to the Windrush generation through creating a timeline.
This workshop is a celebration of black history, celebrating the Windrush Generation and the positive effect the migration of people arriving in the UK from Caribbean countries between 1948 and 1971 had on post-war Britain. Within the workshop we focus on diversity through song and poetry, celebrating the achievements of this generation.
Yes- children with special educational needs really benefit and enjoy our interactive workshops.
At The Drama Hut, we believe that through the performing arts, children can truly experience a subject, complementing and enhancing learning in the classroom. Through improvisation, role play, movement and song, our costumed actors bring the curriculum to life. Prices start at £120 for a single workshop, with discounts available when multiple sessions are booked. Whether on-site or online, we are also able to deliver two different topics to different year groups on the same day.
