What activities are available during this educational workshop?
A presenter-led, interactive experience with audience participation. We spend between five and 10 minutes at each tourist attraction. Enjoyed as a group activity, students virtually walk in, up and around eight of the world's most famous travel destinations. We mingle with travellers, absorbing the excitement and energy of global journeys, and hear traditional music from all eight countries.
Pupils get to visit both the outside and inside of the following 8 Wonders of the World:
⦿ Great Pyramid of Giza (Egypt)
⦿ Machu Picchu (Peru)
⦿ Christ the Redeemer (Brazil) - see a similar 360° interactive video below
⦿ Taj Mahal (India)
⦿ Colosseum (Italy)
⦿ Petra (Jordan)
⦿ Chichen Itza (Mexico)
⦿ Great Wall of China.
The experience includes a resource sheet for teachers, a make-your-own quiz scrunchie (chatterbox), and a word scramble activity. The presenter-led component (45min) can be followed by a 360° film; either 'Seven Wonders of the Ancient World' (20min) or 'The Great Pyramid of Giza' (30min). Optional extras include a make-your-own passport template, and group photos in the dome in front of the famous visitor attractions.
Which Curriculum Subjects do you cater for?
Curriculum topics available: Economic activity and trade, International Development.
Engaging presenters and 360° projection technology bring to your school the thrill of journeying to ancient, far-flung destinations. Helping develop an understanding of the world and people around us; students & teachers are left with vivid and lasting memories to motivate classroom learning.
In this high-definition immersive experience, we relive the excitement of archeologists discovering ancient monuments. We not only walk around the Great Pyramid of Giza (Egypt), but also inside it - and get to stand on the stone at the very top!
Students can compare standing in both modern and ancient Rome in front of the Colosseum (Italy); and strolling around the 2,000 year-old amphitheatre (briefly experiencing a gladiatorial contest from the centre of the arena too!). As curious archeologists, pupils also enter and investigate the hand-carved caverns and shelters of Petra (Jordan).
What size groups do you cater for?
Our largest dome can accommodate up to 70 primary school students (+ 4 adults); or up to 45 secondary school students (+ 4 adults). You have the choice of booking a 4m, 5m, 6m or 7m digital dome, for either half a day, full day or split across lunch; and we will happily squeeze in as many performances as you wish in the time allocated. We also cover a variety of other subjects, including astronomy, space, history (WWI & WWII), the climate emergency, dinosaurs and evolution (see our other adverts on this site).
Do you offer access for visitors with disabilities?
Yes we do. Not only are our domes easy to enter / exit through a standard doorway, but they are also wheelchair accessible.
Do you cater for visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
Yes we do. The immersive nature of this show and its accompanying music is a rich sensory experience in itself. The presenter-led component is flexible and adaptable to all educational needs.
Anything else?
⦿ We are proud to have more genuine, up-to-the-minute teacher feedback than any other digital dome operator in the UK - both online and on our website (see link under the final header at the bottom).
⦿ If the dome remains up over lunch, your booking includes a free Staff Relaxation Session of 360° music and art.
