'Stone Age Workshop' with ReachOut Educate
Our Workshops involve engaging, interactive sessions and activities that are tailored to suit your learning outcomes with an array of artefacts that can be explored, giving the students a taste of what it truly was like to live in the Stone Age World!
Our workshop includes:
*Experienced educators, who are all also Performing Arts trained, who really bring history to life!
*A welcome presentation that investigates what life was life during The Stone Age and where this era sits on the British History Timeline.
*Students will be able to unearth replica Stone Age artefacts from our very own Archaeological dig.
*An activity to create and keep their very own Cave Painting.
*Group games that are Stone Aged Themed to re-enforce learning.

*Era focused group games such as Cave Man Whispers, Soft Spear Throwing and Soft Archery.
Which Curriculum Subjects do you cater for?
Curriculum topics available: Stone Age.
In this workshop, students can discover what life was like during the Stone Age era. Various interactive activities support learning through play - such as an archaeological dig to unearth what weapons were used to hunt for food, soft spear throwing to learn how much skill it took to be a hunter and many more! We cover the art of Cave Painting this is workshop, where the class will look at there importance in society and how they were used to tell stories.
Children can also keep any work that they make during the session.
What size groups do you cater for?
Group sizes will depend on the time frame and space you have available, we are very flexible and can create bespoke programmes for small class sizes right up to a full school approach. We usually suggest a class of 30 students per workshop and the session lasting 1.5 hours; this allows them to ask any questions they have and use all the equipment with bring without feeling rushed.
Do you offer access for visitors with disabilities?
Yes, we cater for children of all abilities and can adapt our sessions for full inclusivity.
Do you cater for visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
Yes, we cater for children of all abilities and have a selection of practitioners with SEN experience.
Although we do have a framework for our sessions, we are always adaptable and very flexible with the delivery and content - allowing us to build a workshop completely suited to your needs and learning outcomes. With many years experience working around the world with students aged early years right through to adult education, we are confident in creating and delivering learning programmes that match our ethos 'Building Confidence Creatively'.
