What activities are available during group visits?

With three hours’ worth of content pre and post an educational visit to Madame Tussaud's Blackpool, we are offering your students a set of unforgettable lessons that reinforce important aspects of the curriculum.

Pupils will stretch their English subject knowledge by delving into the complex world of the media and developing their critical literacy skills. They will explore the concept of the media and its impact on modern audiences. They will develop their PSHE and Speaking and Listening skills by exploring the concepts of ‘mental health’ and ‘mental wellbeing’ in relation to their own lives as well as a number of high-profile celebrities from Madame Tussauds Blackpool!

Which Curriculum Subjects do you cater for?

English

Vocabulary grammar and punctuation

Pupils will stretch their English subject knowledge by delving into the complex world of the media and developing their critical literacy skills. They will explore the concept of the media and its impact on modern audiences. They will do this by analysing fake and real news stories, writing fake or real stories of their own, and creating a pamphlet of ‘top tips’ for how to spot fake news – all in the best media and celebrity setting you could possibly find: Madame Tussauds Blackpool!

PSHE

Mental health and awareness

Pupils will develop their PSHE and Speaking and Listening skills by
exploring the concepts of ‘mental health’ and ‘mental wellbeing’ in relation
to their own lives as well as a number of high-profile celebrities from Madame
Tussauds Blackpool!

Following on from the Prince and Princess of Wales, as well as Lewis Capaldi
and Ed Sheeran who have all spoken out on the subject of mental health,
students will ‘Check in’ with themselves, participate in mindfulness exercises,
and adjust their daily routines to improve mental wellbeing. These three lessons
and a visit to Madame Tussauds Blackpool will encourage students to open up
about their feelings and will leave them with a better understanding of positive
and negative influences upon their mental wellbeing.

What size groups do you cater for?

Enquiries can be made for any group size, and groups of 100+ can visit, but we recommend touring the attraction in groups of no more than 10 + a teacher in order for each child to fully experience the interactive areas.

Do you offer on-site classroom facilities?

Madame Tussauds Blackpool does not have classroom facilities available onsite.

Is there first aid on site?

We have fully trained first aiders on site at all times.

Do you offer access for visitors with disabilities?

Madame Tussauds Blackpool is situated on across multiple floors, with a lift to all levels making it wheelchair accessible.

There are 2 sets of accessible toilets plus a hygiene room with a bed.

Noise cancelling hear defenders are available on request.
