The workshops are completely new and unique to the UK. They focus on maths, science concepts, design, art, engineering, fine motor skills, perseverance, resilience, teamwork, cooperation, concentration, listening skills, problem solving, logic, imagination…the list goes on…By working together, the children create a work of art in the form of a monumental exhibition. It brings a huge self esteem boost across all ages.
Which Curriculum Subjects do you cater for?
Maths
Logic and Problem Solving Measurement Geometry Shape Working with shapes, 2D and 3D structures, counting and logic, the children will work on large scale constructions.
Design Technology
Mechanics and engineering The children will work on a specific design and will have some free time to be creative.
Art
Design Craft The workshops are extremely artistic and creative. Each plank is identical, we don't use clips or glue so the children have to use their imagination!
PSHE
Teamwork and resilience Teamwork, resilience, cooperation, communication, perseverance...all those important life skills will be challenged in each single child.
Physics
Forces Some age groups will experiment with forces, gravity etc...by building specific structures.

What size groups do you cater for?
30 children per class, 5 classes per day.
45min to 1h30 per class
The workshops can run over several days to accommodate the whole school.

Do you cater for visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
A KAPLA Clubs workshop is a very hands on and inclusive activity. It is suitable for all children, including those with Special Educational Needs. Class teachers can sometimes be apprehensive about how those pupils will interact during the session. One of our common feedback is how amazed the teachers are; they not only highly participated but also absolutely loved it. In fact our most common feedback from children is: “Wow, that was epic, I am so proud.” “Are you coming back tomorrow?”

For this amazing giant STEAM construction, we need the use of the biggest indoor space you have. Please contact us, we can always help to find a suitable solution to overcome space and lunchtime arrangements. It is so worth it!
