One Day Creative
One Day is a forward-thinking creative education company, connecting children and learning with creativity and imagination. In this drama workshop, your pupils will be joined by a One Day facilitator to walk through history. Together you'll compare the reigns of Queens Elizabeth I and II, discover their achievements and learn how they contributed to the world on an international scale. Using role-play, performance and interactive activities, you'll soon see that the role of a monarch is no mean feat.

What activities are available during this school workshop?
In this Marvellous Monarchs workshop, your class will have the opportunity to express ideas and feelings through voice, movement, role play and drama. In addition, they will:

Which curriculum topics do we cater for?
Monarchs Workshop
Your pupils will compare the reign of two of Britain's marvellous monarchs: Queen Elizabeth I and II. They may have lived during completely different eras, but your class will examine what similarities they may both have faced in their roles as Queen of England. Plus, how each monarch contributed to their country and how historical context will have influenced this.

>What size groups do we cater for?
We can deliver workshops to up to 4 classes in a school day, depending on the type of workshop and age group of the classes involved. Each session caters for a maximum of 35 children.
Groups with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND)
Absolutely! Drama is a wonderfully inclusive way for children with SEN to access learning. Please let us know of any specific needs or requirements before your day and we can adapt our sessions to fit.
