This workshop is aimed at younger children up to and including year 2, whilst we head back in time 245- 66 million years ago to look at the age of the dinosaurs in a fun and engaging way. Children will learn about these prehistoric creatures along with more facts about the ice age and will take part in a quiz at the end of the session to showcase what they have learnt!
Within our Dinosaur Dynasty Workshop we take a step back into the Mesozoic Age of the dinosaurs!
In our fast paced 10 Second Pictures game the children create pictures, in teams using their bodies, of many different dinosaur related things including dinosaur eggs, fossils and herds.
We learn a song about some dinosaurs and then discuss whether the dinosaurs mentioned in our song would have been herbivores, carnivores or omnivores.
We create a timeline of life on Earth, using pictures for inspiration, to place where the Mesozoic Age came in history. As well as this we share a poem about palaeontologist Mary Anning and the incredible fossils she unearthed back in the 1800's!
Children with special educational needs really benefit and enjoy our workshops.
