Fantastic Forces - whole school theme day including rockets!
Magnets and Forces (Y3) - test out magnetic materials, magnetic fields, friction and Bernoulli effect with hands on experiments.
Forces (Y5) - investigate pulleys, levers and air pressure. Test out your scientific thinking to solve the physics puzzles.
Electricity workshops (Y4 and Y6) - explore circuits, use your arms as conductors and try out the Van der Graaff generator for lots of static fun!
Sound workshop (Y4) - a circus of experiments to experience the vibrations that make sound.
Light workshop (Y3 and Y6) - mirrors, rainbows, rays, chemiluminescence, optical illusions and shadows.
Use real lab equipment to carry out experiments, explore chemical reactions and be scientists.
Potty Potions - whole school theme day with a Hogwarts theme
States of Matter workshop (Y4) - melting, evaporating, sublimation, pourable clouds, dissolving, diffusion and more.
Materials workshops for Y1, Y2 and Y5 - curriculum linked for each year group plus lots of fun with smart materials.
Fab Forensics - KS2 theme day with fingerprinting, DNA, footprints, chromatography and more!
Circulatory System (Y6) - hands on heart dissections, test your amazing brain and measure your lungs.
Digestive System (Y4) - a gooey exploration or the journey of food from your plate to the loo!
DNA and inheritance workshop (Y6) - extract DNA, find out why you might like Brussel sprouts and explore what makes us unique.
Geology Rocks is a workshop for Year 3 which allows children to be geologists. They also explore the rock cycle using chocolate, make their own fossils and we finish off with some volcanic eruptions!
The Big STEM Challenge: work as a team to build a HUGE pyramid in your school hall. Find out about the varied roles in construction, from structural engineers to demolition experts! The structure is 4M tall and a whole class and fit inside it. Also works well for an engineering topic.

Choose from a whole school theme day or curriculum-linked workshops for individual classes. Our curriculum workshops can cover all of the NC statements for a topic in one workshop. Great for kickstarting learning or catching up missed topics. Whole school events focus on creating a buzz about practical science and sparking curiosity.
Whole school themes:
Potty Potions - the best potions class outside of Hogwarts - great for sparking literacy ideas as well as exploring chemistry.
Fantastic Forces - all sorts of tricks with air pressure, the Bernoulli effect and rockets!
Fab Forensics (KS2 only) - an opportunity for children to work out 'whodunnit' using several forensic techniques.
Sweetie Science - use sweets to make rainbows, explosions and inflatable marshmallows - great for a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory topic.
Curriculum workshops:
Electricity - sessions available for both Y4 and Y6, includes Van der Graaff generator demo
Brilliant Bodies - sessions available for Y4 (digestive system) and Y6 (circulatory system)
Forces - sessions available for both Y3 and Y5 forces topics, includes rockets!
Rocks - covers all NC statements for Y3 rocks and we make rocks out of chocolate!
States of Matter - covers all NC statements for Y4 topic and includes super cool dry ice.
Materials - covers Y5 topic and introduces some amazing smart materials.
Sound - explore pitch, volume and vibrations in a series of hands on experiments.
Light - use ray boxes and prisms to explore how light travels and how our eyes work.

"Fab Science came into my school this week as part of our Science Day. They were utterly brilliant and our children were buzzing with excitement in response to the informative, exciting and engaging science that was provided. The absolute epitome of "The Wow Factor!"
Emma and her assistant did 3 "Potty Potions" shows for 3 of our year groups and 3 workshops for one year group, all of which were fab-u-lous! I couldn't recommend Fab Science more emphatically - we will definitely be booking them again next year. "
