★★★★★
I took a small group of year 6 boys to Lymley Woods for a camping and activity trip as their own school trip had been cancelled due to COVID. They had so much fun, and it really lifted their spirits and gave them an outdoor adventure to remember!
The site was fantastic for them, big enough to explore the many activities and nature and small enough to be safe and easy to manage.
The highlights for us were the fantastic fully fitted camp kitchen in the woods, the peaceful (huge) oak lined meadow which in the dusk, with sunlight streaming through the trees, was beuautiful as we all sat around a camp fire. The quality of connection with each other and nature was evident.
For the boys, the adventure trail, night walk, fire-lighting, bush-craft...was all exciting and they learnt lots! They also made a natural shelter where some of them slept out and with no screens, they played and enjoyed a real back-to-nature experience.
We had such fun and Mel was very supportive and had such a passion for the woods, that shone through. Well worth a look/ chat to her to find out what is possible - its a gem of a place!
