What activities are available during this educational workshop?

Which Curriculum Subjects do you cater for?
The students will have to use a cypher wheel, amongst other methods, to decipher the challenges presented to them. The challenges that are presented to the students require them to navigate the use of written text which needs deciphering for them to move forward with the overall exercise.
Reading and writing are vital in the latter stage, where they look at using PowerShell to access hidden files.

Integrating code breaking into lessons provides a fun and interactive way to develop essential teamwork skills that are valuable both in and out of the classroom.
Curriculum topics available: Cyber-security, Encryption Decryption.
The second half of the workshop challenges the students to find and solve encryptions on Windows devices. They will be looking for information within images, either visually or in the data. In the file itself.After that, minor coding will be used to navigate to a hidden file with the final challenge.
What size groups do you cater for?
Up to 35 students can take part in each session. A member of staff is required to be present during the workshop. This is to help manage behaviour during the workshop.
