Why book Widget Workshops's Ancient Egypt Activities and VR Day workshop for your school?
We come with two knowledgeable specialists with a background in education and a love of history, to deliver a jam-packed day. We lead all activities allowing school staff to take part in the activities alongside the children.
We have designed our workshops to be delivered entirely within the classroom, meaning no timetabling and space issues
Our days are fast paced and varied, children will be wowed by the use of cutting edge technology, thrilled at the many opportunities to be creative, be absorbed in learning new skills, immersed in a different time and place and shocked that they have spent the day learning!
Which Curriculum Subjects do you cater for?
We teach chronology, changes over time and aspects of daily life. We give children hands-on experience with tools and artefacts, they will learn a new traditional skill. We visit many sites with our VR that would not be possible on a school trip.
What size groups do you cater for?
We can accommodate up to three classes, the third class would be provided with an easy to follow activity. One and two class group would be led entirely by the Widget Workshops team.
Do you cater for visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
Our sessions are perfect for SEN, activities are very hands-on and accessible and can be adjusted for differing needs.
Widget Workshops offer other History Workshops to Schools. We currently cover the Romans and the Romans in Britain, ancient Egypt, The Stone Age to Iron Age, ancient Greece and the Maya.
