Why book Thornbridge Outdoors for Residential School Trips and Educational Visits?

Our fantastic 30 acre site, range of accommodation options, excellent location in the heart of the Peak District and experienced staff team enable many tailored brilliant residentials and day visits.

A relatively unique aspect of Thornbridge Outdoors is that we give guests sole use of their accommodation buildings (each with their own kitchen/dining room) and a lot of flexibility as to how they plan and run their residential.

Some schools opt for fully instructed and fully catered residentials, many others choose to lead some activities themselves, some self-cater and some rent just the facilities and choose to do their own thing.

A big focus of our residentials is character education where we use outdoor learning experiences to foster resilience, independence, team working and leadership skills. When we plan residentials we ask visit leaders what they would like us to focus on with their pupils during their visit.
