Which Curriculum Subjects do you cater for?
Bushcraft
Work together to build a structure in which you could spend the night. Explore, find materials and build a suitable and sturdy shelter, while gaining a better understanding of how to respect the environment.
Watersports
Paddle the river in open topped canoes, learning a new skill in a safe environment. Good team work skills are required throughout, from carrying the canoes to negotiating the harder parts of the river.
Fieldstudies
A great opportunity to explore the beautiful Northumberland countryside that lies outside our castle walls. Choose from our coastal, woodland or field routes and discover local flora, fauna, geology and the issues that affect our environment.

We can cater for most group sizes.
Do you offer on-site classroom facilities?
We offer rooms that can be used for teacher led classroom sessions.
Is there first aid on site?
All our staff are first aid trained.
Do you offer access for visitors with disabilities?
We have adapted part of the Castle Annex so that we are able to cater for wheelchair users. Party leaders are encouraged to come and visit the castle to discuss their requirements and provisions that are needed.
Do you cater for visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
We welcome young people with additional needs.

We can offer accommodation for up to 150 pupils.
