'Online Safety: The Big Questions' with One Day Creative
One Day is a forward-thinking creative education company, connecting children and learning with creativity and imagination. In this engaging drama workshop your pupils will be joined by a One Day facilitator. Children may already have the Online Safety basics, but our goal is to help them take the conversation one step further.
Using interactive activities, discussion and team work, we support your pupils to become Online Philosophers. Together, they'll use both their bodies and minds to ponder some pretty big Online Safety questions. For example, how does our digital footprint affect us? Where does that video go when we put it online? What impact do our words and actions have on others? And, crucially, who and where can we turn to if we ever need help?

What activities are available during this educational workshop?
In this Online Safety workshop your class will have the opportunity to express ideas and feelings through voice, movement, role play and drama. Pupils will also:
✨ Discuss strategies for keeping safe online, and the importance of protecting personal information
✨ Explore how to use technology safely, respectfully and responsibly
✨ Discover the impact our words and behaviour online can have on others
✨ Learn who to talk to when we need help. Plus, the benefits of open conversation around staying safe online
Which Curriculum Subjects do you cater for?
Curriculum topics available: Online Safety.
Exploring big issues such as Online Safety and Anti-Bullying can be difficult in a traditional classroom setting. Our approach to these topics provides a safe and positive environment, where pupils feel empowered to work through serious messages using drama, role-play and teamwork.
All our workshops use drama, dance and/or movement to stimulate learning and capture children's imaginations. Our team of performing arts professionals have a range of activities up their sleeve to ensure your chosen topic is as accessible and engaging as possible for your pupils.
What size groups do you cater for?
We can deliver workshops to up to 4 classes in a school day, depending on the type of workshop and age group of the classes involved. Each session caters for a maximum of 35 children.
Do you cater for visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
Absolutely! Drama is a wonderfully inclusive way for children with SEN to access learning. Please let us know of any specific needs or requirements before your day and we can adapt our sessions to fit.
You can also join One Day online and stream creativity straight into your classroom with Uno, an online world of interactive primary school workshops.
