African Dance Workshops
School Workshops - Dance Days
We can visit schools in London & South East
Dance Days have been providing educational, interactive and fun dance workshops for schools since 2013, and we visit schools in London and the South East.
We inspire, educate and boost confidence through dance and provide a unique experience without breaking the budget.
Many of our dance workshop styles link directly to the school curriculum and enrich your pupil's learning while helping with PE in a none traditional way. We adapt the delivery of our workshops, so they are suitable from Nursery age right through to Secondary School.
We are very proud to have received such great feedback from teachers; this is down to our highly skilled teaching team, all of whom have enhanced DBS checks.

Why book Dance Days for educational workshops into your school?
Our African dance workshops will take your pupils on a journey through many styles of African dance and help them understand the rhythm of tribal beats.
Our workshops give all pupils the chance to develop and shine away from the classroom.
If you are a one form entry school, we can cover the whole school in a full day, that's £1.35 per pupil!
Which Curriculum Subjects do you cater for?
Curriculum topics available: Team building.
Our workshops help many pupils with team building and depending on the chosen style will include partner work.
We explore the rhythm of the music for the chosen style and the dance steps delivered are broken down into manageable chunks, building on the choreography.
Our workshops get your pupils moving, helping with PE in a none traditional way, it's a great way to get pupils active who don't always enjoy PE.
Curriculum topics available: Healthy Living, Teamwork and resilience.
We promote healthy living as our workshops encourage your pupils to be active, and incorporate teamwork through dance.
This workshop is a great way to get your pupils active during Black History Month, but of course, can be used at any time of the school year.
What activities are available during group visits?
Each session will include a short introduction to the style and warm-up, and then your pupils will explore various forms of African dance.
What size groups do you cater for?
From experience, up to 30 pupils per session work best. You can have up to 8x 30-minute sessions (during a full day) or increase the duration and reduce the number of sessions. Group sizes can be discussed when you send through your requirements.
Do you cater for visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
Yes, all of our styles can be adapted to SEND pupils and settings.
We will take your requirements and work with you to build your ideal Dance Day, and you can include many of our styles or focus on a particular style.
The timetable can be flexible and include a mix of 30 to 60-minute sessions, depending on the number of classes or year groups taking part.
