The Bushcraft Challenge - Bring survival skills to your setting! Workshop

WiseUp Team Building

School Workshop

trip icon Step Into the Wild with the WiseUp Bushcraft Challenge!

Get ready for an unforgettable outdoor adventure where students swap screens for survival and the classroom for the great outdoors!

Under the expert guidance of our experienced instructors, participants will explore exciting new activities – some they may never have tried before, and others they’ll level up like never before. Whether they’re lighting their first fire, building essential shelter, mastering the art of water filtration, this is hands on learning at its absolute best.

Here’s what’s in store:

Bushcraft Challenge – Customised for every age group, our sessions range from younger learner friendly explorations to advanced skills just for older students. Think:

Multiple fire lighting methods (no lighters here!)

Building storm proof shelters as a team

Cooking on an open flame

Learning the art of water filtration

Why choose the Bushcraft Challenge?

It’s not just about having fun (though there’s loads of that). It’s about building real, lasting skills:

Boosting self confidence through hands on tasks

Developing risk awareness and management

Strengthening communication, collaboration, and responsibility

Encouraging sustainable thinking that reaches beyond the school gates

Whether you're planning a full-day outdoor experience or mixing and matching for a skills-packed adventure, the WiseUp Bushcraft Challenge brings learning to life in the most exciting way possible.

Let’s get your group out there – into nature, into action, and into a day they’ll never forget.

Personal development and resilience Team building

WiseUp’s Bushcraft Challenge supports the UK Citizenship curriculum by promoting active participation, community responsibility, and sustainable living. Through outdoor teamwork, students explore ethical choices, leadership, and their role in society.

green tick PSHE Workshop

Healthy Living Anti-bullying Teamwork and resilience Mental health and awareness

PSHE topics touched on in our sessions include resilience and critical thinking. It may take several tries to get a spark in a firelighting session or a shelter may collapse - we encourage participants to keep trying. Whittling is a great time for students to slow down and work on their patience while they carve pencils and jewellery.

green tick Wildlife Workshop

Our tracking and trapping sessions look at different animal species, the markings they make and the areas in which they live. We also listen out for a range of bird calls during all our sessions.

green tick Bushcraft Workshop

WiseUp’s Bushcraft Challenge offers fun, outdoor learning that builds resilience, boosts mental health, and develops practical teamwork and problem solving skills. A hands on day designed to engage students through nature-based activities and real-world challenges.

green tick Team Building Workshop

WiseUp’s Team Building days develop key skills like communication, collaboration, and resilience through fun, outdoor challenges. Linked to PSHE and personal development goals, students build confidence and strengthen positive relationships.
