Our workshops are a great way of bringing the curriculum to life without the hassle of organising a school trip!
During our Stone Age workshop, your children will learn all about:
- The three periods of the Stone Age; Palaeolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic.
- How humans used caves for shelter and protection during the hunter-gatherer lifestyle.
- The different animals (megafauna) that existed in prehistoric Britain.
- The transition from a hunter-gatherer lifestyle to settling in one place.
- The historical significance of Stonehenge as a monument during the Neolithic period.
Whilst exploring the Stone Age, our passionate educators will talk your class through everything they can see. We'll engage your class through various questions and facts.
Following on from this workshop, your pupils can produce an amazing piece of creative writing about their favourite place.

Which Curriculum Subjects do you cater for?
English topics: Creative writing.
At PrimeVR, we understand how difficult it can be to inspire children with their writing. We aim to create excitement by virtually transporting pupils back in time to Ancient Greece! Not only will we provide your class with exciting facts about this period of history but we'll also provide them with an experience to ignite their imagination. Give VR a go and see how it helps with creative writing!
Prehistory topics: Stone Age.
PrimeVR can bring your history topic to life by transporting your pupils back in time to the Stone Age. Using virtual reality headsets, we'll introduce your class to the three different periods of the Stone Age. We'll explore the hunter-gatherer lifestyle by visiting a cave and we'll also see some examples of temporary structures at a monolithic settlement. Pupils will also be able to visit the famous site of Stonehenge, where they'll be able to compare it against a reconstructed version from 5,000 years ago.

We bring in 16 headsets and pupils will share one between two during workshops.
We recommend workshops lasting approximately 30-45 minutes.

Yes. We've worked with a number of SEN schools and the response/feedback to VR has been fantastic.
Reviews from Schools..
★★★★★ "An excellent workshop delivered by Oliver to all of our KS2 classes. We used the virtual reality experience as a 'wow' opener to our topics, which served as great inspiration to the children in wanting to find out more. All of the children (and staff!) thoroughly enjoyed the experience and it definitely brought our learning to life."
